Founded in 2021
The technology was invented and patented in 2015 by founder Dr. Carsten H. Westergaard based on his life long experience in utility scale wind technology and aerodynamics. Based sound physical principles combined in a novel way, the vision was to bringing wind power to unfulfilled needs in unserved markets. The basic science was validated through joint research and field testing with Sandia National Laboratories and Texas Tech University and has been published in scientific papers.
In 2021 Aeromine Technologies was founded by Carsten Westergaard, Martin Manniche, and David Asarnow. The company has raised it’s first series A funding round in December 2023. In 2022 the first pilot unit was deployed with BASF in Wyandotte, Michigan. Additional pilot installations continue to de-risk the novel technology before full commercial product launch in 2024.
Aeromine’s proprietary technology brings the performance of wind energy to the fast-growing rooftop power generation market. We are committed to helping building portfolio owners and companies reduce CO2 emissions by deploying local, wind energy systems to the commercial and industrial real estate segment. Aeromine has received more than 10.000 inbound customer inquiries in 2023.
